CAT8 Cable Assemblies

Amphenol Cables on Demand’s CAT8 cable assemblies combine full TIA/EIA certification for blazing fast 40GBASE-T (40G Ethernet over twisted pair) and/or 25GBASE-T (25G Ethernet over twisted pair) network throughput over links up to 30 m (~100') in length. Impressive bandwidth capacity reaching into the 2 GHz spectrum highlights why the Category-7 standard has been supplanted entirely by the far more capable Category-8 spec. This offers a massive 4x bandwidth improvement over the CAT6a predecessor's 500 MHz nominal rating. These cable assemblies utilize the Fluke CAT8 40GBASE-T channel test as an integral piece of the quality-control toolbox. The channel test is a comprehensive analog-domain test suite featuring 40 Gbps aggregate link throughput (10G x four lanes = 40G total) confirmation that is aided by a broad-spectrum signal sweep from 1 MHz to 2,000 MHz.
