Molex's off-the-shelf (OTS) 5G and LTE Antenna Lite is designed for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G systems and devices and offers superior coverage and reliability with high efficiency and peak gain, making it ideal for a variety of wireless and networking applications.

In a wireless device using a cellular network, antennas play a significant role in the overall performance. However, designing an antenna with a wireless device is complex and time-consuming. Often, manufacturers initiate design work with the functional modules of the device and then either spend lots of time designing an antenna or assign resources to find suppliers to build suitable antennas for their end products. Molex offers off-the-shelf external 5G/LTE cellular antennas with SMA connectors in multi-band configurations, providing plug-in capability.

Meeting design requirements of high-radiation efficiency over a small footprint poses challenges. All the LTE/5G external antenna series offer high radiation efficiency and peak gain with a compact footprint. Connected home and commercial vehicle wireless devices may be subjected to shock and vibrations, so rugged and reliable antennas are required. Molex's rugged external 5G/LTE antennas provide highly reliable performance in critical work environments, offering extended life spans. A hinge joint allows 90° rotation on the vertical plane and an SMA connector allows 360° rotation on the horizontal plane, providing excellent directional coverage. This series offers high gain and efficiency for all major cellular bands.
