Molex RAST 5 IDT connectors are available in 10 A, 1- to 12-circuit and 16 A, 2- to 4-circuit versions suitable for indirect mating. With 4 points of contact at the mating interface, the RAST 5 IDT design is an extremely reliable power connector meeting all industry standards and testing requirements. Different colored housings are also available to assist with speedy assembly when employing multiple connectors on the same harness.
Molex RAST 5 crimp connectors are available in 2- to 10-circuits and are able to accommodate both the 94518 High-Normal Force (HNF) terminal for currents up to 25 A or the 94549 'Caiman'-style terminal for up to 16 A. This system provides a very cost competitive power connector solution. Both of these terminals although having an High-Normal Force also have the benefit of offering low-insertion force characteristics.
Molex RAST 5 IDT and RAST 5 crimp connectors are available glow-wire compliant (IEC / EN 60335-1 4th Edition) or UL 94-V0 rated. Both ranges offer a comprehensive range of keying and latch configurations to help prevent mis-mating and assure high retention forces when mated with a corresponding header such as the Molex 91999 and 93003 series or standard 6.30 mm tabs.
Molex's comprehensive range of RAST 5 headers include both vertical and right-angle versions in tin plating for 10 A and silver plating for 16 A. The 91999 / 93003 series are glow-wire (IEC / EN 60335-1 4th Edition) compliant and UL 94V-0 rated. Available in 2- to 7-circuits, these series have three different PCB footprint options; in-line, staggered, and reverse staggered.
