Toshiba introduces high accuracy optical coupling analog isolation amplifiers with delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC)

Image of Toshiba's Optically Isolation AmplifiersIn order to meet the high degree of precision required for industrial equipment applications, Toshiba has equipped the photocouplers, TLP7820 (SO8L package) and TLP7920 (DIP8 package), with a ΔΣ ADC at the input side. This enables the industry’s highest level of linearity currently available (0.02 percent @NL200, typical for analog output products and 3LSB @INL, typical for digital output products).

The TLP7820 and TLP7920 can detect small electric current and voltage fluctuations with high precision and are suitable for use in industrial equipment applications, including inverters, servo amplifiers, robots, and power supplies.
