ADI ADL5308 Logarithmic Transimpedance Amplifier PIO | DigiKey
The ADI ADL5308 is a logarithmic transimpedance amplifier designed for signal level monitoring in fiber optic systems, featuring a wide dynamic range and temperature-compensated output voltage proportional to the logarithm of the input to reference current ratio. This device can be configured with either an internally generated or externally provided reference current through the IREF interface. It boasts a low-impedance output capable of driving various ADCs and circuits, with adjustable gain via an external resistor on the FB pin. Additionally, the ADL5308 includes a fast comparator with programmable hysteresis and an output latch function, along with adaptive photodiode biasing that scales with input current to prevent nonlinearity from photodiode saturation. Configurable through an I2C interface, it operates within a -40°C to +105°C range and is available in a compact 2 mm x 3 mm package.
